business or a product in the market. The more distinctive
the logo is, the more it will be recognized in the market.
A logo is a substantial asset for a company.
History
Logos became important in the 19th century when industrial
products were introduced. These products were made and
distributed to a large number of geographical regions.
Businesses started profiting from each other's product
because differentiation between products was difficult
and a poor product was easily mistaken for a quality
one. With the increase in manufacturers, businesses
started creating symbols to represent their products.
Later, the manufacturers started to add their names
in the emblem and would design it in a creative manner.
This was the origin of modern day logos.
