History
Logos became important in the 19th century when industrial
products were introduced. These products were made and
distributed to a large number of geographical regions.
Businesses started profiting from each other's product
because differentiation between products was difficult
and a poor product was easily mistaken for a quality
one. With the increase in manufacturers, businesses
started creating symbols to represent their products.
Later, the manufacturers started to add their names
in the emblem and would design it in a creative manner.
This was the origin of modern day logos.

graphic designing. The logo is a body of key features
which contribute to representing the company or product.
Key features of modern logos are given below.
- Logos should be unique and not be confused with
other companies' logos.
- They should usable on as many products of the company
as possible.
- The logos must resizable, independent of size
- Should have the same effect in black and white or
in color.
- Logos should not be affected by the medium on which
they are used.
- Logos should represent the company or the brand
name with integrity.
- They should include as few colors as possible, avoiding
gray or murky colors.
- Vector graphics are preferred so the logos can be
resized without the loss of clarity.
- Beware of copyright infringements.
- Do not use common clip art as your logo; uniqueness
should be the main element.
- Human faces are generally not preferred for logos.
- Photography and complex imaging reduces the value
of the logo.
- It is preferable avoid emblems which represent any
religion or organization if your product is directed
to the general public.
